Technical FAQs—Downloading transactions to Quicken for Macintosh You can download and export up to 18 months of Vanguard transaction history into Quicken. After you download your data, your operating system should automatically recognize the file and import it directly into your Quicken records. The Quicken software will compare the new download with older information to record only new transactions and eliminate any duplicates. You can download transactions for these Vanguard account types: • Personal nonretirement accounts such as individual, joint, and trust accounts. • Personal retirement accounts such as traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs, and rollover IRAs. • Employer-sponsored retirement plans such as 401(k), 403(b), and some types of pension plan accounts. (Please note that these accounts cannot be downloaded into Quicken Basic because of restrictions within the software.) • Vanguard Brokerage Services® accounts. You cannot download transactions for these account types: • Vanguard 529 accounts. How do I use Quicken's Direct Connect? Direct Connect lets you download Vanguard transactions directly into Quicken without logging on to Vanguard.com.
